“Kyoka-Suigetsu”
Beautiful flowers reflected in the mirror and
beautiful moon reflected in the water.
These are fleeting phantom
that are visible but cannot be picked up.
A delicate and profound beauty that cannot
be described in words even if you feel it.
However, the moon reflected in the water is
superimposed on Buddha and truth in Zen.
“Mizu kyunisite Tsuki wo Nagasazu”
No matter how fast the water flows,
the moon reflected in the water is never washed away.
Even if you don’t grasp it, it always exists there.
It may be like a person longing for paradise.
People want to be reborn in the next life.
In the next world, I can’t wait for such a distant future.
Everything is beautiful because the life has the end.
Like a blooming cherry blossom,
like a moon reflected in water,
Even if it looks fleeting,
I want to live as dignified until my last time.
